Sightline (“we”) is a renovation visualization tool at sightline.house, run by an independent founder. By using it you agree to what follows. It is written in plain language on purpose — if something here is unclear, ask us rather than guessing.
You describe a room. Sightline works out a layout with you, generates photorealistic renders of it, reviews the design, produces a materials list, and assembles all of that into a brief you can share with a contractor. Everything it produces is a planning aid.
This is the most important section, so it is near the top rather than the bottom.
Renovation decisions carry real money and real safety consequences. Sightline helps you think them through and communicate them. It does not make them for you, and you remain responsible for what you build.
You can use Sightline without an account. Signing in creates one, keyed on your email address, and links the work you have already done on that browser to it. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can receive mail at your address can reach your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your designs, photos, dimensions and conversations remain yours. You grant us the permission needed to run the service on them: storing them, and sending them to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy so renders and reviews can be produced. We do not sell your content and do not use it to train models.
Briefs you publish get a share link. Anyone holding that link can view that brief. Share links are unlisted but not access-controlled — treat a brief as public once you have sent it to anyone.
Do not:
Generating renders costs us real money per request, which is why limits exist. We may suspend or close an account that abuses them.
There is a free allowance so you can try the product without paying or signing up. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and include a set number of renders per billing period, with optional top-ups if you need more. Prices and allowances are shown at checkout and may change for future billing periods — never retroactively for one you have already paid.
Payments are processed by our reseller, who acts as the merchant of record and handles billing and applicable sales tax or VAT. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
If Sightline is not useful to you, email us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full. No form, no explanation needed. After 14 days, you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not pro-rate part-months.
Cancel whenever you like — renovations stall, and we would rather you paused and came back than felt trapped. Cancelling stops future charges. Your designs stay in your account unless you delete them.
You can delete your account from the account menu at any time. It removes your account, designs, projects and sessions, and it is immediate and permanent — we cannot restore them afterwards. Details of what is and is not covered are in the Privacy Policy.
Sightline is a small, independently run product. We do not promise any particular uptime. Features may change or be removed. The service has a daily generation ceiling, so at busy times renders may be briefly unavailable — if that happens you will be told plainly rather than left waiting.
Sightline is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for construction costs, materials ordered, work carried out, delays, or any other loss arising from decisions you make using its output. If we are found liable despite that, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
If these terms change materially we will update this page and the date above, and tell paying customers by email before the change affects them. Continuing to use Sightline after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Maine. If you are a consumer outside the United States, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws where you live.
